Hi there,could do with a few pointers I have a 54 jimny twin cam ,manual .and I like to convert it to a automatic what should I look out for and does any one know where I could find such a item co's there like hens teeth to get a hold of .

Would it be a easy job to do.:blink:

Not easy.

The automatic has electronic shift control, so there is a lot of wiring differences, more ecu's and a different dash with the gear readout.

There seem a fair few autos about, better to just buy one than to try to convert a manual, although I suppose if you bought a complete auto that had been upside down you could rebuild the auto using your body and sell the extra parts.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
