Efficient exhaust (well delivery)

Well after 2 years of having the back box tied up by a piece of wire, i decided to replace the back box on my jeep. I looked at the various options - new from the exhaust place was £90, rung round the breakers and search fleabay, but decided to go with Online automotive. I found them through google and at £66 inc delivery, they were roughly in the middle for what i was getting quoted. The ebay ones either had the P+P to be added or a few days wait. Well, i ordered yesterday at 3.50pm and before 2pm today, the famous green and yellow van arrived and delievered my goods!!! Less than 24 hours after i ordered them!!! Brillant!!! Means i can fit it this weekend

haha yeh a bit fiddly to get at but a bit wd40 and they slip off bit easier.

The towbars been in the garage for the last 6 months waiting to be fitted. I managed to bend the towing eye a couple of years ago and so was gonna get a mate of a mate to straighten it and fit the tow bar at the same time cause he has access to a fourpost lift to be able to swing the BFH from underneath without having to remove the bumper and i didnt have time to faff about. We'll he's never had time, and now i have, so the plan now is to jack it up on axle stands, remove the bumper, straighten the bracket myself and then fit the exhaust and then fit the tow bar. By not having the bumper on, i should be able to swing the persuader enough to get the eye straight so i can get the towbar on.

With the bumper off changing the back box is easy, the rubber is right in front of you, even with the towbar on.

If you're doing the towbar electrics, BEFORE you put the bumper back on feed a couple of feet, or as much as you have, of the multicore up through the grommit below the nearside (passenger) light cluster (beside the wires that come down to the lights in the bumper).
If you manage to "jack it up on axle stands, remove the bumper, straighten the bracket myself and then fit the exhaust and then fit the tow bar." on Saturday it will take you all day Sunday to;
Remove the rear nearside seat, unbolt the end of the seatbelt, remove the carpet, persuade the rear nearside plastic trim to let go without breaking all the clips, fish the cable up from below the lamp cluster (where you left it on Saturday), work out which wire goes to which and scotch loc them, tie one (white I think) down to earth. wire up the plug end and test. Wire brush the rusty bits (there's bound to be some!) below and around the seat mounts and along the seam and paint them, let it dry, put the carpet back, put the plastic panel on with as many clips as you have left, refix the seat belt and refit the seat.
My Jim came with the towbar fitted but no electrics so I decided one Saturday to tackle it, thought it'd take about an hour!!! Wrong!! about four hours later it was done!!

worst thing about the electrics is stripping all the seats and trims out!!

The bumper needs to be off anyway to fit the towbar, easy job to fit but its time consuming.

Except the rear tail lights wire is wrong on the write up , its RED AND YELLOW on the jimny wiring not RED.
