Transforming an ordinary Jimny into a "4sport" Brasilian Jimny edition

I have just stumbled upon this Youtube video which shows an ordinary Jimny being modified to appear like the Brasilian "4sport" Jimny edition:
I do not know if the modification is full or partial, or if original 4sport accessory items were used.

I love the step they add just behind the door. I hadn't noticed that before.

It appears that the first video which I linked here is actually part 2 of a 2-part video.
Here is part 1:
Part 1 shows only the installation of the snorkel.

I also noticed that step for the first time in my life.
However, only 10 cm of width makes it unusable for putting your foot in, unless you are a small to medium sized female with some light shoes.
Also, the side molding between the side door and the rear wheel arch would have to be cut, probably making the end result rather ugly.
On the other hand, if one could, instead of a side step, make a storage box inside that space (with a lid similar to the fuel tank flap lid), that might be an interesting addition to the vehicle. Jimny is very frugal on cargo space and that might be quite handy to keep some items in.
That's just a concept idea.
