In need of some recommendations for a pair of versatile but super rugged comfy close fitting work gloves. They need to be able to resist cutting from Stanley knife blades and rusty nails, resist abrasion from things like sandstone, yet also allow full movement and a good degree of sensitivity. Oh and also be waterproof and warm. I haven't had much luck in the past and consequently I have quite hard hands but I'm increasingly finding it difficult to get my hands warmed up and I'm also getting tired of random busted knuckles and little nicks and slices I often don't notice doing at the time. Any suggestions? Cheers in advance.

I've had an old pair of motocycle gloves in the shed for years and I use them for all the nasties that try to take your knuckles off. Made of kangaroo hide and the slim fitting kind without all the sliders and projections (Harley riders seem to like them).
Avoid the big brand names and the needn't cost too much.

I'll have a look for some. Kangaroo hide motorcycle gloves. Cheers. Was also looking at mechanix m-pact gloves they seem to be well reviewed.

Hi, I have used a pair of Snap On mechanics gloves for years, for everything, including mountain biking and they meet all your criteria apart from the waterproof bit. Alternatively check out the range of Site gloves from Screwfix

Or a thin pair of latex disposable gloves under the work gloves

Sweaty isn't the half of it, I use the nitrile one for some of the more liquid jobs on the farm and the are hateful. Will have a look at seal skinz. Cheers.

I've been considering getting a pair of these, might be worth looking at:

Not tried that particular brand but even the most expensive ones that I have tried in the past have barely managed a month before the rubber is coming away. Farming is hard on the ppe.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI've had the same problem and gave up with expensive Mechanics gloves and now use a combination of these type gloves:

But bought from the Factory Shop for 99p a pair (just as good) and Nitrile gloves when liquids are involved, such as oil changes etc.

These can go in the washing machine and you can have a few pairs so if they get wet, swap them for some dry ones.

I also use O'Keefes Working Hands cream.
