Film buff needed was created by helijohn

I am trying to trace a film from about 3 years ago begins with the hero (I think it's a well known actor such as Bruce Willis or Jason Statham) playing a drunk in a bar who has alienated his family and has done this for months but it turns out later in the film to be a ruse in order to eventually deal with bad guys who may be Chinese. He has had to cut himself off from his wife etc.
What is the film please cos it is driving me mad?
