I use this when I get grief from a company. The only one who hasn't resulted in a positive response was the halfords group. I no longer shop there as their lifetime guarantee isn't worth the paper it's written on
I quite like their pro tools, I abuse mine at work then go running back when they break, had no problems in getting replacements.
Try getting a replacement from snap-on!
I really like their pro tools, just they accused ( by implication) me of stealing tools as an excuse for not replacing a broken spanner. They were quick to back down but have provided no replacement and no apology for a blatant slur on my good character. On principle I will ever shop there again. It's for others to decide where they shop and I offer no suggestions either explicit or implied

To be honest I had similar, when the first sat nav's came out, I got a Medion pda type, returned home to find the sd card missing containing the sat nav software, so immediately returned to the local store where they told me to F off as they believed I wanted to rob an sd card, I refused to leave the store and once I insisted to the manager to phone the police as I wasn't going to let it drop, they then turned around and gave me the sd card and told me not to return.
I since have however been in to purchase bits as I needed them,
