NOTE: This is for members and their private sales/wants.
There are rules that suppliers have to follow (and many of you do follow the rules). However there have been a number of instances recently where "suppliers" have broken the rules.

Suppliers/Dealers or anyone selling with a commercial view in mind CANNOT post here unless responding to a specific request of a member in a "wanted" post.

Suppliers include people "breaking for spares" on a regular basis, when purchasing spares members should ask a supplier what they contribute to the running of the forum

That's not a bad budget for a manual car.  Autos are a lot more expensive so would be  correspondingly older and/or higher mileage.  If you can stand the looks, white Jimnys are usually best value and you could get a fairly late one.

Always check the MOT history.  One specialist seller describes all its cars in glowing terms as rust free, when the MOT has years of advisories for serious rot.

Go for one later than 2008 or earlier than 2005. If you see one in the middle you want then insist on seeing proof that the gearbox has been repaired or expect to knock off £1000 to cover gearbox repairs
