NOTE: This is for members and their private sales/wants.
There are rules that suppliers have to follow (and many of you do follow the rules). However there have been a number of instances recently where "suppliers" have broken the rules.

Suppliers/Dealers or anyone selling with a commercial view in mind CANNOT post here unless responding to a specific request of a member in a "wanted" post.

Suppliers include people "breaking for spares" on a regular basis, when purchasing spares members should ask a supplier what they contribute to the running of the forum

I would not have the self control after the long wait for my new Jimny to be delivered not to use it. Lot of people in the same situation of late.;)

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

You must have a big garage to do 1,300 miles in it.

I’m not a dealer I ordered this Jimny in December 2018 and eventually got it in March this year, the only reason I’m selling is because I am about to be made redundant in August and the sensible thing for me is to sell to get rid of any debt I have, it’s my wife’s car but she has been furloughed since March so the car has had the odd trip to the shops etc.

If you genuinely purchased it to use, but have now fallen upon unexpected hard times and need to sell it, then you have my apologies for the sarcasm of my comment

However... with it (a) being your first post on here and (b) selling a virtually new, low mileage car for, well over the list price, it must be obvious why it could easily be assumed that you just purchased it, or are a dealer, out to make a few quid!!

Anyway, good luck with the search for a new job

Cheers Phil, i didn't purchase to sell on and I genuinely love the car, just needs must i'm afraid.

I joined the forum some time ago after i ordered the car but haven't posted in the forum.

As for the price, thought I'd gone a bit below the dealer prices but yes it is more than list so pitching somewhere around they tend to go for.

I am open to a conversation around the price should anybody on here be interested.

Thanks again.
Mick

I am in the market for one but am not prepared to pay so much over the list price.
I realise that’s what they sell for, and would probably ask the same if l was selling one.
It should sell at that price, when you look at what dealers are asking. The only issue is, most buyers want a PCP and/or have a part exchange.
That’s the issue l had selling our VW Up GTi
I had it up for £12,000 ono and nobody called, while people on the forum were spanking £16,000 on new ones.
But they didn’t have cash, they wanted £2,000 deposit and £199 per month

The Jimny is such an unusual beast where you don't have the same opportunities to purchase should you want one and finance on second hand cars is more expensive generally through the dealers, cheaper to take a personal loan dependent on your credit history. based on the market currently even at these inflated prices the Jimny still looks to be the least depreciating car!!

I was looking at the older cars and I have a 13 reg Audi A6 Avant that would have cost three times a Jimny in 2013 yet a 2013 Jimny is now worth more than my Audi A6.

Interesting times that we are living through and about to get a lot more 'interesting' over the next few months. The motor trade is awash with product (both new and pre-owned), customer confidence has taken a beating, finance companies are getting nervous about their income streams and the UK's politicians appear divided on policy. I'd be minimising my exposure to all debt before the going gets really tough - then you can sleep at night without the worry of 'The Repo Man' appearing at your bedside!.
