I have the armster. And whilst its better than nothing, it aint perfect. The rest itself is a nice bit of kit well made and weighty. But the fixing point is rather weak, and it wobbles slightly.
If i had my time again, id go for one of martins armrests, as they have a firm fixing point.
Still a decent product though.

Aw carp I've just seen the installation vid of the big Jimny armrest and I want one too.
Oh well, I'll see how the armstar gets on but if anyone else wants it for the price above drop me a line.

A quick update. The armrest arrived today and I have fitted it to my gen4 and I have to say it ain't bad at all (for the money). I lose the cupholders, but I am going to order some from Jimny style anyway, otherwise it is not a bad fit and very good quality.
I agree that there is lateral movement but that is more to do with the stability of that centre cupholders section than anything.
I will carry on testing but I was after an armrest that didn't move with the seat so the passenger could use it and it also lets me change gears with it down so it'll do.
It was also cheap lol
Cheers Ian.
(The big Jimny shop armrest looks bloody ace though)

Yes your bang on with what you said there. Its the stability of the centre console thats to blame. But saying that im glad for the "give" in the interior componants, as they just pop out easily when needed. Its like the side sills, they just pop out nice and easy when i need to hoover the nooks and crannies. Same when i fitted the speakers, the door cards just "pop off". You can see suzuki have really thought things through for ease of ownership, and i love that.
Anyways enjoy your armrest, i like mine, its not half bad.
