Sell your bits!
NOTE: This is for members and their private sales/wants.
There are rules that suppliers have to follow (and many of you do follow the rules). However there have been a number of instances recently where "suppliers" have broken the rules.
Suppliers/Dealers or anyone selling with a commercial view in mind CANNOT post here unless responding to a specific request of a member in a "wanted" post.
Suppliers include people "breaking for spares" on a regular basis, when purchasing spares members should ask a supplier what they contribute to the running of the forum

This has been done already but I was under the impression that it needed to shielded wire for a knock sensor but I maybe wrong, but it replaced with normal wire.
I may just need the sensor it self if the wire is ok..

It should be shielded but a short repair section may be okay provided it's not to close to any radiated emf sources.
However the quality and process of the repair is critical.
All joints should be sealed with environmental heat shrink. The shield must also be bridged across the repair (this can be done with a single wire) and isolated from ground.
If the shield is exposed at any point it needs to be reinsulated. It should only have a single ground point (typically at the ecu) or you can get weird earth loops that will cause issues.

My repair is about 10" long with crimp connectors lol
I would like to point out that it not responsible for the repair.

You can find single core shielded cable pretty easily, I'd replace the from the ecu side of the damage to the sensor. As long as the joint is good it should be okay.

Yeah, that's probably the issue then.Jackstar wrote: My repair is about 10" long with crimp connectors lol
