24/10/10 - Welding up the Axle

I had a few hours free today to move it on a bit.

If you recall the mounting holes in one of the Leading Arm mounts were worn oval. Therefore I needed to sort out a repair. This was pretty straightforward. I got hold of some 12mm Repair Washers and ground off the plating (its poisonous to weld them)

I then bolted them in the hole, lined it all up and welded around them. This was the first weld which was not too clean, but I cleaned them up and welded them in a bit better.

Once they were properly welded up, I then painted them up with some primer and a final coat.
