James is now old enough and held a licence long enough (19 years old and 2 years driving) for Adrian Flux to offer reasonably priced insurance on a modified vehicle. Therefore he wanted a lift for his Jimny.

A while ago I replaced the exhaust on "LittleJimny". Since then I have had great difficulty in getting it to seal. It is a sprung loaded flexible joint so should be a "dry" seal with no sealant or gasket, just a stainless steel mesh ring.

And the snorkel has turned up from www.snorkels.es . This is the cheapest source of snorkels (currently £86 delivered), they respond in English to emails and offer a prompt service.

Well the parts have started arriving! Now that James is old enough to have insurance that permits modifications (Thanks - Adrian Flux) he wants a small and tasteful lift  to perk up the Jimny. Watch this space as the build progresses.
