Hello,
Does anyone have a chart or something similar which illustrates the link between tyre sizes and the suited transfer box ratio? I am going to be running 235/85/16's and have been told the best ratio would be a 5:1. I think having something on the forum where people can refer to might be a good idea?

The low range ratio you choose depends as much on where you drive and how you use the vehicle as it does tyre size. Getting the high range reduction right to allow sensible cruising speeds is more important, and can be worked out from the % increase in the tyres circumference.

Agree with Busta on both counts.
Calculating gear ratio to maintain stock speed/RPM with one tire size is easy enough. If you want to play with multiple tire sizes, transfer ratios and differential ratios, there are a number of sites like this that allow you to play with numbers:

I started out with nothing & still have most of it left
