Jimny electrical problems was created by Mads
Good morning,
This is my first post so go gentle with me...
I have a suzuki jimmy with some electrical issues. The heater blower won't work, but the interesting part is when I try to turn it on the main lights goes off, if I turn on the seat heater the lights goes off etc. What could be the issue? bad grounds, or maybe a rele?
Went over the fuses inside the car, only one was blown (to the seat warmer). Is there any more fuses I should check? Engine bay?
Would be great if someone could post some pointers, and maybe pictures of what I should check out
Have a great day!

Wierd stuff like that is usually an earthing fault. Wouldn't like to say which one though, a systematic review of them reference to a wiring diagram would be the first step.

Thanks,
OK. Is there any wiring diagrams on this site for the car?
I will go over and check each and single one.
I can hear it click in the rele underneath steering column.

If you can hear the relay clicking then maybe the blower fan has seized!

Thanks for the input Mickt,
But when I try to start the fan, or anything else (seat heater) all the lights goes off....
I mean every light, and then won't turn back on before i "shut down" the fan, or turn on the main lights with the switch on the left side.... Very strange thing.. Im giving two cents that it is ground problems.

Did you have a good look at all the fuses, I had one on another car years ago that had just a hairline crack in it, it wasn't obvious that it had blown

Surprised you did not notice the crack when you pulled out the fuses to polish them Dan.

Probably done it when I had the dremel polishing pads on the fuse buffing it up

I can't figure this out.
If I turn on the seat heater, try to open / close electric window, fan, or rear window heater the main lights goes off. Apparently the stuff that I'm trying to turn on won't work. Any clues? Pointers?

Do you mean the switches no longer function or just the switch lights go out
The switches you mention are all common to the main lighting circuit

Thanks milnes.
Maybe I was a little unclear regarding previous post.
They are not functioning on activation, that being said when pressing the switch the lights goes out (main / head lights).
When turning on the head / main lights stays on regarding pressing the switches or not - but the function on the switch won't work. I can see of your diagram that everything is connected to the main light, but should I check ground for each switch? or is it connected to a reley or similar?

Have you wired any accessories into your Jimny? Lights, CB radio etc.
