How to remove MAP filter? was created by Leica
I want to remove the filter at the end of the manifold which the hose from the MAP sensor connects to. See the orange part with the grey hose in the pictures.
A wrench doesn't fit because of the limited space down there. Do you think I can just plug the hose? That way I can then use an extension bar and unscrew the filter. Has anyone removed this type of filter?

Would a cowfoot spanner not fit it?

Yes, that could work. Googled the term and it seems a good fit on paper at least. Thanks.

The only trouble with them is that they tend to spring the jaws if the article is tight.. You could try cutting an open ended spanner short leaving a hittable length for a hammer or modify a ring spanner with a cut out which might allow more torque.
