what fan is it mate and is the sensor that wire going in the hose

I got it off e bay yes the thermostat wire is that in the top hose and runs up the n/s of the engine and put a cover over the wire the thermostat is inside the car behind the glove box
this was the kit 14" Electric Radiator 12v Cooling Fan With Thermostat For CLASSIC CAR / KIT CAR
I set the thermostat around 85 / 90 and is working ok but you could play around with it
I was going to put a switch inside to over ride the thermostat but not got round to it
when you take the old fan off you need o put some washers on the water pump studs to make up the gap
in the thread . I put a live feed to the fan from the battery but the fan would run after I had switched the engine off so put it so only live when the engine is running . the earth wire is on the thermostat switch

I would say its better as its not running all the time only when its needed
