You have to remove the dash cluster and strip it to gain access to the illumination bulds which you need to replace.

Easy to do on the Jimny. :)

just do a search for them mate, if you cant find them then you can take them out and paint them what ever colour you like with paint ! ;)

In The Olden Days, I used to fit little silicon rubber covers over the bulbs to change the colour, you can still get them from eBay, ( search for silicon bulb cover) but I don't know what size you would want.

Nowadays, people just get coloured Led dash bulbs and fit them instead.

eBay is your friend (blue led dash bulb)

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

If I were to replace the stock dashboard bulbs with newer LED's, would the newer bulbs still be adjustable for brightness/intensity via the odometer selector?

yes mate, the swtich alters the current to the bulbs, whatever make they are.
