Introduction
There are a few cases/solutions of installed portal axles on Jimnys.
This and this forum topic contain some useful information about those cases/solutions.
Be aware that of the following:
- While being a very effective modification of serious all-terrain use, portal axles are quite expensive and the reliability/durability can be a major issue.
- As a general rule, portal axles do not like high speeds.
- They also increase the fuel consumption to a certain degree.
