Hi there guys.. I need some advice... During the weekend I tried to install a k&n pod filter on my 1.3 Suzuki jimny. It was a complete fail. I ran a pipe to the maf and which then linked to the cone filter. Everything was sealed off and the maf sensor was air tight and was secure vertical the way it should be. I was quite confused because I had quite an unexpected result. at first my car would just die after ignition and if I gave it petrol it would feel very flat. I then changed the idle body and my car began to surge when idling and the accelerating was still flat and delayed. Can someone please give me some advice on the matter
thanks

The ally bit next to the filter, that's a boss to mount the maf to yes? And everything was clamped up and plugged in yes? It sounds like it's missing a signal or drawing air after the maf at first thought.

I suspect the problem is to do with the diameter of the pipe where the maf is. Leave it running for a while and the computer might work it out. You're wasting your time fitting a filter that big on a Jimny though. If you want a nice noise drill holes in the air box.
