Good evening all. I am really hoping I can get some help here. I have a jimny (2000) and love it. Just spent some good money on a new rad and had all the rust done.
Now the problem. A few weeks ago I left the lights on and the battery died. I needed a new one anyway so bought one from Halfords, fitted it and it started. I drove home parked up and four days later it just turned over but wouldn’t start. My local garage picked it up and got it going, apparently a fault with the earth feeding the coils. I drove it for the weekend then parked up again. A few days later it did the same thing. Only difference is now the garage said there is no spark and no fuel.
I have spent some money on it and it’s in good nick. I want to safe it but they are at a loss as to what is wrong. If anybody can give me some advice that I can pass on I’d really appreciate it.
Kindly
Donovan

Is the orange padlock symbol on on the dashboard? Sounds like either an immobiliser fault (using a spare key that hasn't been coded to the immobiliser?) or the ecu doesn't know the engine is spinning, which would suggest the crank position sensor

Which engine is it?

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.
