Hello

Just had a 2” body lift fitted and now my 4x4 light is flashing! Previously when it was in 4x4 the light stayed on. Anyone have any idea what could be causing the flashing light?

My Jimny has manual lockers fitted.

Thanks,
Redmond

I would be looking at the wires out of the transfer box and making sure they have not been disconnected either intentionally and needing plugging in or unitentionally and snapped off being too tight. Then also check the wiring to the vacuum solenoids even though they are redundant. Something hqs been disturbed by the body lift and needs reconnection.

Possibly not related but did you get the transfer stick bent
With the body lift the stick maybe hitting bodywork and not fully engaging in the box

So had a check over all the wiring today and everything looks ok to me - annoying! not sure what to check next?

I did have the transfer stick bent, but i think it needs to be done a bit more as it seems to not properly go into 4X4L and its easily pushed out

So can someone please explain to me what happens to the vacuum system when manual locking hubs are fitted? How are the hubs fitted exactly? Everything I read points to a leak in the vacuum system if the 4wd light flashes but my system is not in use?

All i did was blank off the flex pipes up by the solenoids in both direction to keep the vacuum intact and also any junk getting in. Then just a mechanical swap of the hubs.dead easy.
