Cooper AT3 or General Grabber AT was created by petejones69
Thinking about swapping the Cooper STTs for some all-terrain action tyres and was thinking of either Cooper AT3s or General Grabber ATs.
Any thoughts?

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

Any premium quality tyre will be very capable. I have found that the difference between such things is as much as anything personal preference or bias and a lot of the "professional" reviews seem to be increasingly paid for in some way or another as one reviewer will place brand x above all others and the next review places brand y first. There's no longer a clear market leader, not like 20 years ago when you had bfg then everyone else. Obviously any premium tyre will be way ahead of the qui lins or whatever the current Chinese brand is and even they will be better than a remoulded tyre.

Price will likely be the deciding factor between the premiums. On Camskill, the Cooper AT3s are £92.50/each, the BFGs are £111.35, the Geolanders £129.35 and they don't have the Grabber ATs.

Bloody hell the Geolanders have gone up!! They were always the mid-range option. Depending on how many miles you do and how long you are keeping the jim, I would go for the BFG's. They last for ever on a small/light car.

That seems the best option. I will be keeping the Jimny until it falls apart, so no worries there.

I was comparing the speed rating between the Cooper and BFG, the former is rated R, the latter S. There was me thinking it would be best to go for the higher rating, but with the best will in the world, the Jimny isn't going to get near to 106mph, let alone 112mph! I did 65mph for a couple of minutes on my first trip out and that was scary!

Anything Q rated upward is fine. Mine will do 80mph+ but the steering is very twitchy.

My two cruise comfortably at 70mph... I run Maxxis Trepadors 31"x10.5" on the big blue S200KYS and BFG ATs in 235/75/15 flavour on the gold BT54VTS daily driver
