1. Simple query but how do you get to the fusebox in a 2007 jimny? it looks like there are 2, one easy one under the bonnet that does starter-motor, alternator, etc, and one under the drivers knee behind the dash for interior stuff. The bonnet one is easy, but under the dash? Is there an easy way to get it out?
2. Recently changed the clutch. New Excedy job with new release bearing and cover. Works fine, but release bearing is making a annoying rattling/tinkly noise when driving. noise goes if clutch is pressed, so pretty sure its the clutch bearing. Occasionally it makes a worrying snatching noise. I didnt grease the bearing when fitting as its supposed to be factory greased and i didnt want to get grease on the clutch itself. perhaps i should have greased the shaft a bit?

No, there was no grease supplied in the clutch kit. i do have plenty of different grease, but was unsure if it would spin off and get on the clutch itself
It sounds like im going to have to try and get it off again

hmm thought it would be something daft like that!

On my
To get at them, first you take the battery earth lead off as it goes over the top (byebye radio codes and other settings) then you prise the lid up with the fuse panel on the bottom, and use a mirror underneath to see the fuses, as Renault made the cable so short that you can't turn the panel enough to see them.
How I laughed when a 10 second job took half an hour. Imagine doing that in the dark because the lights don't work.....
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The rattly/tinlky noise turned out to be a dust cover on the input flange of the rocklobster box. Superglue and all is silent and well now
Fuse box is still annoying, but better still than a renault as mentioned above! I need at it because the rear screenwash motor isnt working, hoping its just a fuse
