Hi all. My jimny is a 2005 VVT with the button transfer box. Am I right in thinking I have the R72 gearbox?
After reading all the posts about problems I was wondering if the was any measures to help protect it?
Its fine at the moment (fingers crossed) so would regular oil changes help things?
Would you stick to the recommended grade or is there a better option and a favoured oil type/manufacturer.

Nothing to contribute, but am also interested in the answer to your question. Been looking at getting a much higher grade gearbox oil, as by most accounts the issue all boils down to lubrication.
