Flo-Flex polybushes fitting issue.

Hello All,
I'm trying to prepare for a smooth installation of a 50mm Trailmaster Lift Kit bought few months ago for my Jimny. I try to do it properly using castor correction polybushes at both the front and rear arms but looks like I have size issues. Recently I bought a full set of second hand radius arms and refurbished them and put new Flo-Flex (Bits4Vits) polybushes into the spare arms to get ready for a smooth swap. Today I checked the available space on the original joint points. Guess what I noticed. At the 'arm to chassis' joint the bushes are to big (~70mm, see the photos) so it does not fit between the brackets (~65mm).
Did anyone have similar problem using genuine arms with Flo-Flex polybushes?

See the available space between the brackets. I admit the bush is also 65mm long but only when its out of the arm...When its fitted the thicker part of it which sits on the edge of the bore of the arm is too thick/long so it does not let the bush to sit properly in the bore. See the attached photos. Should I trim somehow? Any idea?

I do wish people would contact suppliers before posting on discussion boards...

I fitted new bushes in my own (S200KYS blue Jimny) radius arms last week, and yes, they were a bit tight (better than them being loose though?!), and I will ask FloFlex to have a look at the dimensions again...

Mine are fitted and have helped ease my death wobble too...

If you're not entirely happy with them, please return them for a full refund...

Hello Dave.

I respect your reputation and apologies if you feel this product is blamed. As I'm not a qualified mechanic just a simple Jimny owner it was not obvious for me what to do. Thought the forum is the best place to seek advice or share experience to help others posted my issue. I use them (in customised form) as I believe Flo-Flex bushes are quality products.

Regards, Gabor

Hmmm... out of interest Dan, are you using original arms or after-market?

Hi all I have just fitted a complete set that I bought from Dave at Bits4Vits and yes they were snug, but with a little gentle persuasion they all went in great.
I am really impressed with them, just got to carry on the rebuild now.

I seem to remember that a smear of washing up liquid acts as an acceptable lubricant for assembly?
