Changing from 4WD to 2WD problem was created by intello
Recently bought a 56 reg Jimny VVT, tried out the 4wd last week in the snow -worked very well, the problem is that when I stopped & pushed the button to engage the 2wd the 4wd light flashes on the dash & 2wd did not engage - I rocked the Jimny back & forward a couple of times & 2wd engaged. Any suggestions or advice please

The push button jimny can be selected on the move at lowish speeds. This only applies to 4WDH. Try it again on a slippery surface(not wet/dry tarmac but snow ok) Try pushing the clutch right down?
4WDL can only be selected at a standstill AFTER 4WDH has been selected.
It might be sticky hubs. If you try it with ign. on and engine off you should hear them clicking in/out?? :)

You can change between 2H and 4H and back again while on the move up to 100kph.
You can change between 2H and 4L. Just make sure you have stopped completely, and have the clutch in.

Should you be travelling at just over 60 mph if you know the conditions might need 4wd?? :woohoo:

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)
