I haven't seen anything like this advertised. I'm curious if anyone on the forum has seen a kit that is similar. It doesn't seem to have any provisions for a soft-top so I certainly wouldn't take it through mud but otherwise looks interesting.

I started out with nothing & still have most of it left

I would be interested in where it attaches to the main structure of the Jimny. Whilst clearly stronger than a canvas top it really needs to go down to the floor by the body mounts and have spreader plates to act as a proper cage

I believe Daniel is correct. The cage is for looks only. The attachment points appear to be on the body only. The original body would provide more protection than the cage.

From the body close-outs, it doesn't appear to be a backyard homemade job. I just haven't seen any commercial versions advertised and it would be interesting to have more information.....mostly for curiosity. Although there are a few things I like about it, those are definitely outnumbered by the things I don't like.

I started out with nothing & still have most of it left

With a suitable aluminium bulkhead behind the front seats and none of the frame or rear seats that would be a good pickup.

Would it not provide more protection than nothing at all?
