What's so special about these rims?

There is no issue running a 215 (or even much wider tyres) on a standard 5.5 inch rim. Obviously 35 profile tyres with stiff sidewalls are a different matter.

And the really bad news, thats EACH!

However that is the price for a single wheel and my contact suggests that is the "Insurance" price for replacement.

He is looking at a "bundle" price for a set.

Good grief. I had a quote for a set of 5 custom drilled 18x7s that was less than three of those. Wow.

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

I'd be terrified of going anywhere near a kerb at that price. As an option on a new Jimny how much more is it?

Do it right - use Hammerite

Bleedin' 'ell, that's ridiculous, Martin! But thanks for the info. If you search for them online, you keep coming across a pic of them. When you click on it, it says a set of them are for sale at 'ALS Autos'. But if you click the pic you get sent to their ad for selling a Jimny, not wheels. I emailed them but they didn't reply, so I think it's just a click-bait through Google for their cars for sale.

I have no idea if this would be practical or not but many of the Jimny buyers here in the Philippines swap out their wheels (and often tires) as soon as they purchase the vehicle.

This set of 5 is for sale for about $700 USD. Shipping details and time/effort may not make it worth it but certainly a much better price.

This is from the Suzuki Jimny 4X4 club of the Philippine's Facebook page:

I started out with nothing & still have most of it left

Thanks for that. Pity they don't put them on ebay!
