Ordered the switches last night -
Light Bar, Back Lights, Two Wheel Drive Low! and, errr, a winch switch? Ah well, you never know...
Out of interest - where are you thinking of mounting them switches? Its pretty easy to get wiring to anywhere, but not much available to put them in.

Soldering iron, heat gun for the shrink tubes...
Up from the aerial hole and along the front mesh of the roof rack and into the front light bar...
And then round the back for the two reverse / work lights
Testing!
Just need to sort the dash wiring and switches out some time then?

Take centre of dash out...
Cut a neat rectangular hole in it...
Add switches
Wire it all up (not as neat as Riccy's !)
The two spare pins in the photo are for the two-wheel-drive-low switch - see the coil of wire in the last photo
Replace dash'!
Then think about it... hmmm... wouldn't it be nice if the rooftop LED bar also came on with main beam, as well as the manual dash switch? Be good for flashing people...
Wire relay up "the wrong way"
SO... I've got a fuse and two positive wires going to PIN 30 and PIN 86 (30 is normally the 'feed' and 86 is the 'switch' - but Suzuki headlights are weird*)
PIN 87 goes to the lightbar# to power it
PIN 85 is the earth, usually!, so we need to connect this to the wire on the headlights which is normally live when the ignition is on but drops to earth when main beam is on (I told you Suzuki headlights are weird*)
This one -
*So, when the ignition comes on, all THREE terminals on the back of the Jimny headlight are ALL LIVE, when we switch the headlights on, one wire drops to earth to make the circuit, and then when we go to mainbeam (or flash) a different wire drops to earth, it's this one we need to switch the relay over... This works as the two live terminals (Feed and Switch) are always live (through the inline fuse) but the relay won't switch on as it has no Earth... UNTIL, the headlight wire drops to Earth on mainbeam, then the relay will trigger/switch on and light the lightbar (or spots)...
# - my wire goes to the 'OUT' terminal on the back of the manual dash switch, i.e. the LED lightbar either gets it's power from me switching it on from the dash switch, or if I switch to main beam or flash the headlights, the relay triggers and feeds the LED lightbar... hope that makes sense?
I then tidied all the wires in the engine bay and under the dashboard...
The loop in the footwell will be going down to the transfer box and in series with the four wheel drive switch on it, so that I can "fool" the ECU, it won't think I'm in four wheel drive, the vacuum hubs will switch off, and I'll therefore have two-wheel-drive-low to the rear axle...
DONE! A project finished for a change... not that they are ever really "finished"

I found my switches work upside down to a house light switch (look like they are switched on but are actually off). This may be the specific switches i have, or my mates wiring! Not got it finished yet so only my ARB stuff and the USB socket/volmeter works so far.

Thinking about it the winch was reversed too, so I just swapped the two wires over to give me the correct IN and OUT...

We ended up living with it the other way round. the indicator lights didnt work properly with the rockers turned around. Dash illumination works ok tho.
also cheers for the above description of how the headlights work, that would have confused me for ages (electrician's dont use negative/neutral switching normally)
