We just didn't buy it i guess.. :)

Looking at this article i would say you norway lot are weird as you all prefer to pay very high prices for loyalty rather than realise what the rest of europe and now usa have, lidl sells some really good stuff and being the worlds 5th largest retailer can provide very cheap prices...
But it does appear that the retailers in norway feared lidl so conspired against them ?...
Being a professional tradesman i personally think they sell a lot of budget tools and things that are actually quite good, and the odd one or two items have been superior to the top brand names !

We love being weird! We take pride in it as well. But the Lidl stores in Norway just had canned and dry food we didn't recognize and plastic items no one needed. One of the problems was that in general, food stores in Norway already have low quality cheap budget stuff and few items to choose from so the Lidl concept was no real alternative. Quality stores with a broad specter of goods and higher quality is all but gone as it seems we do not care about quality, just price. The large chains of shops have too much power.
I love going to Sweden where the shops have more to choose from, and more fresh food.

In fairness the service department has just written to me asking me to take it back to a local Lidl for a refund. I could do as I still have the broken jaws which I could put back but then I have real wood jaws on it now so it is almost a keeper.

I done the buy a new set to flip the old broken for the new receipt trick some times...
just to find that the new set also broke and then i already used the receipt.

But also i have got broken stuff replaced without receipt several times.
Seems that many stores finds that it is cheaper for them, and better customer treatment to make no fuzz about it and just treat us nice. We may even return and buy more :)
There is however some stores i never return to..

Just been to Lidl to get another one of these.
www.lidl.de/de/parkside-metall-trennschn...-pmts-180-a1/p267107

The first one I I bought on Sunday was cutting at a few degrees out of square and as there is no adjustment for the vertical plane; the only way to correct it was to tilt it where it is attached to the base. It required a ¼" tilt just to get it near to 90°.
The second one is bang on right out of the box. Typical Lidl quality control. It runs too fast to use TCT blades but abrasive blades will do nicely.
