Slow Forum - update (15 Feb 2018)

I have found an issue within the persistent session database (this is what keeps you logged into the system).

I have reset the database (which will have logged everyone out) and will see how the system performs

It seems a lot quicker

I am upgrading the site to PHP7.

This does not provide any new features for users, it just keeps the underlying system up to date and secure. The current PHP core is obsolete next year.

The first stage is to bring various modules up to date before the PHP7 upgrade

The first module to be updated is the Wiki. This will be upgraded over the next day or two.

Please report anything that appears broken.

The key missing element on day 1 of the Wiki upgrade is the interlinking of the main website login process and the Wiki login. Separate accounts will be required for Wiki login once the update has occurred.

Can people try with an iPad? I hear that people who can only use an iPad are getting blank pages
