Posting this for a customer on eBay, but it might interest others googling for it...

HOW TO DO A TANK LIFT ON A VITARA WITH A THREE INCH BODYLIFT - I don't think it's possible with a two inch lift from memory?

Support the tank...

Undo the bolts that hold the tank up...

Cut the hanging / mounting brackets off...

Grind the rest of the brackets off...

Treat the bare metal...

Squueze the tank between the crossmembers and drill through the holes...

To mount the tank directly to the cross members rather than the brackets...

You'll have to cut the mount off one side of the fuel tank GUARD and reweld it so it meets the mounting hole in the chassis...

It is a tight fit, but with patience, determination and some swearing you will get there!

AFTER

Hope that helps!

Dave ;)

Not a vitara owner myself but that seems like a pretty nifty mod! Keeps it high and safe :)

Cheers, I'm not a Vitara owner these days either... I upgraded to a JIMNY five years ago... but someone on eBay asked me if I had the old blog available... ;)
