1. Driving through the Karoo (a few hundred km's of super fine dust)
2. You can't drive further south. Over 1200km from home.

Trip out to riverwild.
1. Needs a wash after 300km of muddy dirt roads
2. I was having a seriously hard time getting over this hump. Its on a 90 deg. bend and muddy, with the stock road tyres.
3. After unbolting the anti-roll bar and lowering the tyre pressure, I was able to get through.

Vey nice pics, I'm jealous.

One thing, when you say driving through the mine dumps, you do mean mine as in digging for ore type of mines and not the click...BOOM mines? ;)

Yeah, keep the picyures coming.

Keith :)

The mine dumps are what's left after the processing of the ore to extract the gold.

There are becoming scarce, because they have realised that the old processes were inefficient and there is still a lot of gold left in the dumps. So they are being reworked and the waste from that process is being pumped back into the worked out mines.

After 93K Kms and a fair amount of underbody (and body) damage, I traded the old Jimny on a new one.

40mm lift
A/T Tyres
And lots of armour this time round

Red in the sun will be pink if you don't keep it polished. B)

I played in mine dumps as a kid, full of toxic chemicals and sinkholes, but never did me any harm...
