No, seriously I don't mid doing that for you. I did tweak mine slightly after that installation. I swapped the ARB push fitting for 90o elbow type one on the front as it was hitting the chassis a full articulation. I will have a look in my parts bin to see if I still have any of the airline connectors. Let me look (be Friday) when can have a good root around. and I'll get back to you.

Whooooo hooooooo your a gooden mate, thanks a lot soeley!!

Thats a great idea that 90 deg adaptor too.

I'll wait till friday then buddy. No rush my end, just have a look when your free next. I Wont 4get this. Thanks again!! :) :)

Andy,

Lucky you! I just had two of those specific fittings left. As you can see in the picture, I used one these all metal elbows for the front. For the rear I used a PLASTIC SWIVEL ELBOW . The one on the rear has been fine, but when I used one on the front it snagged on some chassis and broke, hence swapping that one for a metal one.

I'll try and get some decent pictures of it in situ and post them here.
Although the thread is 1/8" BSP, so is slightly tapered, a bit of PTFE tape would't do any harm.

Message me your address and I'll pop them in the post.

No problem Andy, not really into beetroots that much to be honest :cheer:

If ever we meet up just buy me a drink or burger depending on where we are. That will be enough, I can see your gratitude, that is enough!

I'd recommend using some good quality s/s jubilee clips that you can do nice and tight. Cheap one tend to strip quite easily.

No problem Andy B)

I would recommend good quality stainless steel jubilee clips though, so you can get them nice and tight. Cheap ones soon strip before getting a good grip,

For my USB socket I connected it to my auxiliary FUSE BOX , so not sure where on the cars fuse box to connect to. Gadget should be able to answer that one.

Yes the Breather kit and jubilee clips.

What I did for the rear, was to clip the breather pipe to the chassis above the axle and drop it down above the breather vent. But first I heated a fair length of the pipe up in a bowl of boiling water, when soft I wrapped it around a soup can a few times and held it in place until cool. This in effect gave me a coil spring of breather pipe that wouldn't get in the way under suspension compression, but would have more than enough stretch for full suspension travel.

Well, I have kept mine in a little zip-lock bag :o
But yes, prise the cap upwards and inside is a little spring and rubber seal. Discard those or wrap them up.

Soeley wrote: Yesterday, I fitted my front Jimnybits recovery points. Didn't take as long as I expected overall, the slowest part is cutting the bumper slots. Then keep trial fitting and trimming, trial fitting and trimming again and again and again and on and on. You get the picture.

Once you have the first slots in place and can then see the RP centre lines, it is easy to judge how much left and right you need to trim. The harder part was working out how to vertically position the slots, that's the trial and error bit.

Stands out well against the dirt. Loosely held in place.

All bolted up.

First undersized slots cut.

Hya Soeley,

I fitted the jimnyBits rear tow points today. It was a success!

Soooooo now i'll be fitting the front tow pojnts. Can i ask, gow the heck did you find a reference point to start the hole in the bumper?

Bcus the bumper wont fit flush with the points attached, im racking my brains to figure out where i would start. Im wondering from your pictures whether i could gain a good statting point from noting where yours are located.

Any tips my friend??

Thank you kindly Soeley!!
