Good evening all,

I have Gen 3 1998 jimny with no drive. When you go to drive yoi get a loud banging noise like sonething is skipping. Took off rear prop as the boot for CV joint transfer box end was split. All bearings still present however but will replace Anyone had similar issues?

Most likely the chain in the transfer case has stretched. Get a second hand replacement transfer case.
