Gen 4 Headlight Bulb Replacement?

My Gen4 is a GA model with what Suzuki refers to as Halogen Multi Reflector headlights.

I want to swap these out with something better. The GL models have an LED Projector according to Suzuki SA.

What are my options for upgrading the headlights? Do the Gen4s also use the H4 light fitting?

According to the UK handbook it is a H4 bulb.
 

I was very relieved when I saw that page in the manual, as I have all of those as spares that I had bought in for previous cars.

Its good that Suzuki haven't fitted anything obscure into these.

I'm interested as to whether an LED bulb could be fitted to an SZ4/GA model too.

As far as I know, Suzuki does not just swap the bulb, they use a completely different headlamp. I believe they also use a different fog lamp assembly on the LED equipped models, so if you're trying to duplicate what they have, you need more than just an LED bulb.

Having said that - there are H4 LED bulbs that can be fitted in place of H4 halogen bulbs, but I would not recommend them, LED bulbs in a lens/reflector combination designed for a halogen bulb will not give you the appropriate beam pattern (which is why no vehicle manufacturer that I know of does that), and may be illegal in your neck of the woods.

any recommendation for upgraded bulbs in my commercial SZ4?
what do people go for, the usual Phillips extremes etc?

I always used Osram, but I can't remember which model.
