Greetings from Greece guys.
Just bought a Jimny with a G13 engine.
The car had been sitting for a year or so.
Yesterday i run a test with the radiator and found Co2 in the coolant.
But the car isn't overheating.
The mechanic said its a blown head gasket or a cracked head.
I haven't done any service to it since i went to the shop to do it but we found this.
Could it be anything else?
I've red a post here that it wasn't a gasket but a loose rad hose.

Sorry for my bad English :)

Welcome to the forum. I would tend to agree with the mechanics assessment. When my head gasket failed I did get much in the way of alarming overheating but it would get warmer and warmer and not cool properly.

You can buy cheap DIY kits off amazon eBay etc if you're wanting to confirm the diagnosis.

So today we open up the engine and the gasket is gone.
We will send the header for repair and also the engine block.
Another question. :)
A friend of mine has a block from a g16 engine.
Could it be posible to fit the g16 block only with everything else from the g13?

Does g16 block only mean the bare block, and everything else from the g13 include the crankshaft, pistons & rods?  Then the answer is no.  Both the bore & the stroke are different, it might be possible to swap a G16 short block in and fit the head etc. from the G13, as the same head casting is shared by both engines, but, the G16 short block would have to be a 16 valve, and you'd need adapter plates to mate it to the transmission, so not a drop-in, bolt up swap.

Sorry i wasn't clear. Its a g16 16valve full block.
So i guess it will fit?
But i haven't a sump.
Anything else except the adapter? The starter motor?

Google G16 G13 swap, you're going to get a lot of hits, if you include Jimny as a keyword in the search string you'll get results more in tune with what you're attempting - the exact details are going to vary with what vehicle the G16 came out of.
