The auto transfer box has the same high ratio side, and the low side is lower as you originally thought...

BUT it is a switched model, not a stick shift one...

I'm trying to find out whether the gears inside would be transferable from the auto's transfer box to a manual transfer box, and have asked a friend who breaks the odd Jimny whether he has an auto one, as this may prove ideal for The Boogie to give me a lower gears offroad...

Dave that is exactly the info i was looking for is there a way of finding the part numbers of the low raitio gears, see if i can buy them new do you know if i can fit them to my original transfer case
Cheers Neil

Not sure whether the gears would be interchangeable Neil :(

Martin could probably provide part numbers if you ask him nicely...

If you asked him really nicely if you had a list of the gear part numbers in each box you could see if the rest of them were common / the same...

I myself will keep an eye on eBay just incase one pops up... ;)

Yeah I'm thinking the same ,with the reduction gear set's they state you have specify one or the other parts aren't interchangeable

What's the call Sir Martin, the keeper of the knowledge
