Hullo! I have a very rusty 52 plate jimny (no surprises) and the hard lines to the vaccum hub on the drivers side has corroded through, just before it meets the hose that joins to the line above the front axle. I know some people have used silicone hose to replace this entirely, which I may do yet depending on cost/effort involved!

However,  if I do buy manual hubs I am not certain they will fit through the centre of my standard (standard as far as I know of) alloy wheel. Measuring the vacuum hub, it appears to be exactly the same size as the hole in the centre of the wheel where there is a Suzuki 'S' Logo plastic cap.

Wondered if anyone has any experience with fitting manual hubs with wheels like these. I don't really want to fork out the cash for new steel wheels and hubs (and possibly tyres ).

Can prodive photos later on!

On a partially related note concerning silicone hose, does anyone know what internal diameter the two hoses are coming directly from the hub are?

Welcome to the forum. As far as I am aware all factory wheels work on manual hubs. As for the tube size I couldn't tell you, I swapped to manual years ago.

The hoses are 4mm id. I replaced mine and routed them along the brake hoses rather than the axle so they are out of harms way. It's a simple job, took less than an house and cost about £10.
