That would be useful, save the door resting on the raised jockey stand shaft of my trailer.

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

As a side note, I have just bought the wife a Ford Ecosport (side opening rear door) when you oper the rear door it only opens about a third of the way, give it another push and it opens all the way. I have got as far as measuring the strut and it is longer (can't remember the number now). I do intent to try it on the Jimny to see how it works out. I think a two stage opener will be quite useful at times.

Soeley the brand 'Stabilus' which is the OE manufacture for the JIM, sell a gas strut called the 'Inter-stop' which is a two stage strut with a holding point midway. If you're interested, I've found a link to a 500mm Inter-stop Strut for sale that'll fit the JIM.

For more information on the Stabilus range (I'm still trying to find a locking jobbie) have a read here:

Thanks for the info.

Just had a look at the first link. It would seem a bit to powerful for the Jimny though at 460N eject force.

I will have a further read of the second link later.
