Bah!
Just got an email this morning to say that the seamless tube insert sleeve material had been shipped this morning by 24 hour carrier, so looks like I won't bet getting it for the weekend...
Never mind... there's a buggy that needs finishing ready for the BigJimny Meet!

If you're still after the SJ shaft I can package it up and send it if you cover the postage?
Just chopped mine and added a section of 1" 1/4 bar in to it.
Cut out 65mm from the centre and it seems to fit good.

I'd be interested in the measurements of the shortened R72 shaft?Riccy wrote: Ive got a shortened intermediary prop for an R72 gearbox to your welcome to, but it will have the wrong spline count on the gearbox end of it. Might be possible to swap over the UJs to get it right
My R72 shaft next to an SJ wish I knew about the different splines first
I'll swap you my shortened R72 shaft for your decent looking SJ one if you fancy a 0 cost swap? (assuming UK postage costs similar to each other), send me a PM
I can measure it on friday when next in the garage otherwise...

Got round to doing my own prop this afternoon as I had a couple of hours off in the garage
Sleeve in
Nice bevelled gap for a nice deep weld...
Welded, ground, sanded...
And.. painted...
About ~15mm longer than the Samurai one pictured with it above...
Back to the buggy tomorrow, this side project will have to wait for a bit, there's a BigJimny Meet to get to! 10 weeks away?
