Hi
Not on the Jimny, but fitted my own conversions on a Reliant Scimitar and currently run LPG on my Series 2 Land Rover.
It's actually very good as a fuel, but the " is it worth it question" is a bit harder to answer.
First as a rule of thumb whatever mpg you currently get on petrol, reduce the figure by about 12% and that will give you and idea of mpg when on LPG. It's not 100% accurate but good enough at this stage.
Next the tank. Whatever its stated size is in LTRs it can only hold 80% of that figure, so with your LPG mpg figure you can figure out how far you can go between fill ups. So the size of the tank will be dictated by it's location, inside the rear boot or under the car etc. It's down to you. In both my vehicles I fitted internally to get the largest tank I could.
It's also possible to now calculate the pay back period based on your annual milage and LPG / petrol mpg figures against fuel cost. Pay back is a lot quicker if you do a lot of miles in a vehicle with poor mpg.
My Scimitar did 12mpg, my Landover does 18 at best, so it was easy to playback the equipment investment.
My Jimny is not bad enough at (average 36mpg petrol) and my annual milage, so it's not worth it for me on my Jimny.
So you need to do some math's and if you can payback in 2 years it's probably worth it in the long run, but again you need to factor in keeping the vehicle.
Hope this helps you decide.
Mike
