Again ta! Yep thought of the venting/ pressure issues ,have come across it on old bikes. But yeah I will get Tam to just release the cap after a journey , to see how we go.

An update on this post in case others ask. So when she came home from Scotland the weather was very poor , so didn't help with the down on power thing....anyway my local mechanic chappie plugged in diagnostics etc nowt wrong with power plant...
The wheels seemed to be free etc.... No problems with the 250 miles trip home either.
Then today after a grating noise appeared which couldn't be ignored by turning up the tunes! She took it to a garage to check it over..
Binding brakes and no pads left... So new discs , pads and a calliper because the piston and pins moved in and out but stuck then released slower than the other side ( goosed)
Now it goes up the hills like it should ... On the plus side the chap checked the rear brakes and inspected underside ...all good .
