I would say 4500lb has a minimum

I bought the synthetic Wynchmax and while I have not fitted it yet, I think the quality looks good for the money.

I can't find the brand name "rule" for winches. Is this definitely it?
Most winch manufacturers sell replacement motors though.
A 3000lb winch is nowhere near strong enough for a Jimny. You need a minimum of 6000lb but mist of us use 9000lb.
There's cheap winches out there from Winchmax and Warrior. Check out eBay.

I can recommend Horntool winches. Good Chinese winches with European service, etc.
