Hi guys my Jimny failed its MOT Saturday because the chaise is rot at the rear body mounting. my Mechanic says that the rear of the body will have to be lifted to weld it but wants to know how difficult it is to lift the rear or will he have to lift the whole car. if anyone could give any advice. thanks

just unbolt then lift
fuel filler pipe will need disconnecting and rear light wiring

There are 8 body mounts. To get any useful amount of clearance they will have to sacken off the back 6, allowing it to 'pivot' on the front 2.
