Exhaust was created by paradox1001
I need to replace the front section of my exhaust
The part with the cat on it
Is there any particular brand that's the best or any to avoid
I recall reading that the fitting kit gaskets are too small has anyone else had this problem
Also do the lambda sensors unscrew ok or will I need a new one?

I need the car to be back on the road the same day so trying to avoid any known pitfalls

I bought one from cats2u.co.uk
It's cost just under £100 delivered with fitting kit
They recommend fitting a new lambda sensor but I managed to remove and re use my old one
It all fitted fine with no problems
Easy simple job that took under an hour to complete.

Well done mate! Some how it always feels better when you've done the job yourself :)

2012 Jimny Black. Totally standard (except for rear seat removal mod).

Well done

Why did you replace it was it corroded or had the cat just broken down?

It had corroded where the pipe meets the cat
I think it was the original exhaust from new

Had to do mine as where the cat section joins to the mid section it corroded through, simple enough job although the lambda was properly corroded in place and seeing as the old section was getting replaced managed to cut it out easy enough with a grinder and re use it after a quick clean. The connector for the sensor is up behind the motor somewhere but again easy enough to trace the wire back up and find it. Best of luck.
