Ey up all,
Fancy getting the valve adjustment shim tool for my toolkit just in case lol. Anyone got one for sale or know of an alternative other than Suzuki ?
Anyone know the part number of the tool and a rough cost?
Ta

If in doubt ...... Flat out ??

There are 3 different claw like brackets that screw on the cam carriers and push the buckets down.

If I ever get a round tuit (my nan had one on top of her fireplace) I thought I'd just struggle or cobble something up.

AFAIK, there are no after market ones, as no-one ever messes with them.

(bad really, I'd expect the gaps to close up as the valves wear into the seats on Tesco petrol, but it needs an expensive gasket and seals just to look at them)

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

The trouble with shimming an engine with bucket shims is that you can measure what size you need but when you fit the shim find it's not right despite your measurements.

So you bought the wrong shim and are left in a pickle. With 16 valves you can be in 16 pickles!

This may be a viable substitute to hold the spring bucket down. £12 is more tolerable for such a simple tool
