Charter Boat is probably confused that there are so many people giving him different answers to his question, so I would suggest he asks Suzuki to give him a definitive answer to the suitable sizes for his rims.

Good luck with that one :)   Suzuki are going to say standard tyres only.  I would check with the tyre manufacturer, they all seem to have helplines available if you look at their websites. Then inform your insurer..

Agreed Martin. but Roger has a point (however boring) that the only or best recommendation is to keep it original.

But if you would like bigger tires and as big as 235, there will be rubbing, there will be power loss, there will be a lousy low range.
But in my opinion it looks better. And you can change the gearing, change the engine, and ignore the rubbing.
215 75 15 is a way better choice of tires if you have no plans for the gearing and engine mods.

I never said that sticking with original sizes is the best way to go. I have recently bought a set of original Suzuki steel wheels fitted with 215/75R15 BFG tyres. This combination is permitted in technical info. sheets and will be used as a winter tyre and hopefully some green runs in the future.
