No 4wd or 4wd light was created by Madmaff92
So I recently purchased a 2003 jimny cheap, 4wd not working and neither is the 4wd light,
transfer lever feels fine so question is what should I be looking at?
I'm under the impression at if it's vac pipes then the 4wd light should still be there but flashing,
many thanks

Most likely to be the vacuum pipes but it's also going to be prudent to inspect the the transfer box wires and switches as they are relatively exposed to off road damage.

A fault with the vacuum pipes will give a flashing 4wd light. No light at all indicates a fault with the switch on the transfer case or its wiring. Its the one with 2 wires. A simple test is to unplug it and bridge the connector with a pair of spade terminals crimped onto a short length of wire. You should then get some activity on the dashboard and also hopefully at the hubs.
