Failed body mounts was created by Morticia001
Hi All
I got my Jimmy up on the ramps and have discovered that 5 of the 6 body mounts have completely rusted through. I’m no mechanic or welder but wish to know whether a. It can be repaired, b. How much I’m looking at, or c. Should I scrap the vehicle?

Why did you post that I've only gotten over the idea of a truck cab conversion and now it's back in me head? I was really digging into Terrys way of building the cab and thinking Id like to do the same with an Iforwillams canopy . Is it a mould or the finished article? And was it hard to do .

That's the mould I've made....probably get around to making a panel next year once I finish a few jobs off.
I'd describe it as straightforward.....but I do have previous experience.

Buy a welder and do it yourself. It’s pretty thin metal but if you are planning on having a Jimny or Landy for that matter, it’s a worthwhile skill to invest in.
